Which Red Sea resort has a good house reef without major low-tide problems?

Based on 3 discussions with 3 participants · Last activity: 1 day ago

TL;DR

The reef at Rixos Radamis Beach Side is comparable to Alkazar and it has a new water park, but low tide is still an issue there too. For better shore snorkeling try Ras Umm El Sid bay, and for diving the Thistlegorm wreck is worth it if you have an Open Water certification.

Rixos Radamis Beach Side has a reef on par with Alkazar and a new water park, but the sea access still has the same low-tide issue.

A traveler currently staying there reports: the reef is beautiful, but the shore has low tides. Food is good, and animation/entertainment is rated 4 out of 5.

For scuba divers there isn't much to see at this particular resort, aside from just logging dives if you're Open Water certified. Ras Umm El Sid bay is much more interesting for shore snorkeling.

The Thistlegorm wreck is still in good condition — better to dive there than settle for the resort's house reef.
