TL;DR
Summer is off-season for exotic fruits at Egyptian all-inclusive hotels. Expect bananas, grapes, apples, pears, nectarines, plums, melon, and dates — but no mango or strawberries, and watermelon is hit-or-miss.
At Kalimera hotel in August, mango did not appear on the buffet at all: over a 10-day stay it was unavailable both mornings and evenings. At the same time, good mango was on sale at Senzo mall, so the lack of mango at the hotel is not always due to seasonality.
At Alibaba hotel, melons are bland, watermelon is inconsistent, but dates are available. Exotic fruits are largely absent.
At Albatros hotel in summer 2026, the fruit selection was decent: bananas, grapes, plums, apples, pears, nectarines, and melon. No watermelon, but the variety was reasonable. Tip: arrive 30–60 minutes before the buffet closes to avoid crowds.
Strawberries and mango are out of season in Egyptian summers. At Albatros hotel in 2026, fruit and dates were scarce and watermelon appeared only occasionally — whereas the same hotel in 2019 had a much richer selection including mango. Availability seems to vary by both season and year.
