TL;DR
Most Hurghada hotels are better accessed via pontoon. Walk-in beach entries exist at Sensatori (next to Palms) and at the border of Majestic and Inn beaches, marked with buoys.
Regarding Baron hotel: the shore entry there is reportedly quite decent — an adult can swim out to the reefs from the beach itself, not just via the pontoon.
At Rixos Radamis, a usable sandy shore entry is reported on the left side of the beach: if you walk almost to the end of the area with green umbrellas, high tide gives roughly neck-deep water there. If staying close to the sea matters, book a Beach or Beachside room; the hotel also has a pier with reef access, and fish can be seen from the pier without diving.
At Majestic beach, a recommended sea-entry spot is the sandy spit to the right of Luxury: there are usually fewer sea urchins there, and deeper water starts closer to shore than in other parts of that stretch.
Continental Plaza has a good house reef, you can swim across the whole bay, and there is a sandy walk-in entry. For higher budgets, Sunrise Remal and Park Regency are strong options for both reef access and service.
Zahабия (Zahabia) is considered one of the best beaches and reefs in Hurghada — a top pick for those prioritising sea, reef, and fish. In other respects the hotel has some drawbacks compared to alternatives, but for snorkelling and swimming it is a strong choice.
Sultan hotel has a short pier with wide, comfortable steps for sea entry plus a pontoon. You can swim long distances along the reef — right from the pontoon or left from the pier. Good choice for snorkelers and divers who don't want to carry gear far.
At the border between Majestic and Inn hotel beaches there's a buoy-marked entry channel where you can enter without water shoes. The start of the beach has small rocks — water shoes recommended there. Most of the shallow area is knee-deep; deeper water is further out.
Baron hotel allows some beach swimming at high tide, but the pontoon is the main option and works well. For a proper walk-in beach entry nearby, head to Sensatori hotel (accessible via the small Sindbad beach next door).
