Some travelers suggest Senzo Mall as an alternative to Mango Market: it’s about a 20-minute walk from nearby hotels via a slightly awkward route, or around 5 minutes by taxi for about $1.

Instead of taking a tour-operator ‘free’ shopping trip, travelers recommend booking the shuttle directly from Mango Market or Fix Price yourself. Reviews say there’s no pressure to buy, and you can return via inDrive or a street taxi for about $4–5.

Mango Market was a disappointment: prices are higher than at George Clooney shop, the store is small and cramped, and a discount flyer was not honored despite being promised. The return shuttle wait is 1.5 hours outdoors, even though you can browse the whole store in 20–25 minutes. Tourists are taken to the farthest branch on purpose — it has the El-Prince restaurant nearby, so people spend money there while waiting.

Mango Market can get very crowded. Everything sold there is also available elsewhere — in the Old Town or at El Markato. It's about a 15-minute walk from El Markato, or roughly 20 minutes on foot from most hotels heading left toward the sea.

Mango Market itself is fine — reasonable prices and helpful, low-pressure staff. The free shuttle arrives on time but the ride takes nearly an hour. You get 1.5 hours for shopping. Taking a taxi back is more convenient at around $5. Fix Price is a better alternative with lower prices, though payment is in Egyptian pounds only.
