TL;DR
Food at Hurghada all-inclusive hotels is often described as bland and limited in variety. Expect basic buffet fare — filling but not flavorful.
The hotel food was bland and lacking in flavor. Guests missed not exotic dishes but simply ripe, tasty fruit. Even basic buffet quality felt below expectations. That said, the overall holiday experience can still be enjoyable — the sea and mood matter more than the food.
After a few days of adjustment, food stops being a priority — the sea takes over. Long queues at the buffet make skipping meals feel like a relief rather than a loss.
At Zahaby hotel, the food is acceptable though limited in variety. Hygiene is fine and there are no insect issues. For guests focused on snorkeling and the reef, food quality becomes secondary — the coral reef is genuinely spectacular.
