Are there mosquitoes or bed bugs in Sharm el-Sheikh hotels?

At Rixos, a guest reported not seeing any mosquitoes at all during a full week, reinforcing that conditions vary a lot by hotel.

At Park Regency, guests reported no mosquitoes, and the hotel was actively spraying/treating the grounds against them during the stay.

Mosquitoes are more likely in greener hotel areas with flowers, grass, and plants, especially in the evening along paths to the sea near standard rooms. Inside rooms, only occasional strays were reported, and opening the balcony door increases the chance they fly in.

Mosquitoes and midges are present outdoors in Sharm el-Sheikh, but rarely make it into hotel rooms. No bed bugs found. Sensitivity varies — some guests get bitten a lot, others not at all.

A plug-in electric mosquito repellent kept the room bite-free. Bites seen on other guests' legs outdoors were likely from tiny ants rather than mosquitoes.
