How does the pool/beach towel card system work at Sharm El Sheikh all-inclusive hotels?

One traveler asked whether the towel must be carried everywhere between beach and pool, or can only be swapped in the room — based on others' experience, you typically need to keep the towel with you at all times.

For early check-in (if rooms are available), guests get the wristband and towel card right away. At check-out (noon deadline), the wristband and towel card aren't collected immediately — guests can use a room for free to shower and change before leaving.

Guests in club rooms don't get separate towel cards: on the club beach, staff pre-lay towels on the loungers, and you just leave the towel on the lounger when you're done.
