At the Fanar and Palma hotel beaches, lifeguards immediately indicate on the spot where swimming is allowed due to changing currents at that moment — meaning the permitted swim zone isn't fixed but depends on conditions.

Recent reports suggest that access to Amforas Beach, including the beach area and the pool with slides, is not guaranteed for non-guests. It depends heavily on the security staff at the entrance and beach gate; last season, a guard sometimes let people through, but it was not reliable.

In Naama Bay, travelers report seeing dense schools of fish near the pier and shoreline early in the morning, even before tourists arrive. Because visitors often feed the fish, there may be staff or security around the pier monitoring the area.

At the Palace hotel beach in Sharm, lifeguards may enforce the no-swimming-beyond-buoys rule very strictly, even for confident snorkelers with proper fins, mask, and snorkel. One traveler reported only being able to do longer swims outside the buoys after personally persuading a lifeguard near the end of the trip.
