Sultan Gardens vs Sea Life vs Palace hotel comparison in Sharm el-Sheikh: pools, beach, facilities

A traveler on their third consecutive stay at Sultan Gardens (August visit) reports the bay is nearly windless and food is varied and good. The house reef is good, allowing long swims along it in both directions from the hotel — rated better than reefs at Baron, Sensatori, and Ramel Beach resorts.

Sea Life is the furthest from the beach among the three hotels in the complex. The main differences between Sultan Gardens, Sea Life, and Palace Gardens are the accommodation type (bungalows) and access to the paid water park in Gardens. Guests of all three hotels share common areas, bars, and food courts. No pool restrictions for children were noted. Last year at Sultan Gardens, sea entry was comfortable without water shoes.

Sunrise hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh received a positive review from a traveler with a sensitive stomach: unlike Hurghada hotels where digestive issues consistently appeared on day 4, Sunrise passed without incident. The hotel was rebooked for August.

Sultan Gardens is preferred over Palace on several points: pools in June stay open until 19:00 (Palace closes at 17:00), and there is no constant strong wind that plagues Palace. Travelers who have stayed at both consistently return to Sultan Gardens. Palace is considered overpriced for what it offers.
