TL;DR
The French a la carte restaurant at Sunrise hotels is the top pick — great atmosphere, excellent beef dishes, and attentive service. Mexican comes second, fish restaurant third.
The French a la carte restaurant ranked first: elegant interior, attentive staff, and genuinely good food. The beef here was the only truly excellent beef dish during the entire stay. Staff also organized a birthday surprise with balloons and a cake with a candle.
The Mexican restaurant comes in second place: fajitas are served with a great presentation. Downside — the dining room is very dark and not particularly cozy.
The fish restaurant ranked third. Shrimp dishes were disappointing — they tasted like typical frozen, watery shrimp with little flavor.
Breakfast at the Delmar restaurant (separate from the main buffet) stood out for its calm atmosphere — quiet, with the sound of the sea and good service. A solid alternative to the noisy main dining hall.
The main buffet restaurant had a canteen-like feel, though food quality was decent. Variety was limited: grilled shrimp appeared only twice in a week, and there was a noticeable lack of berries and fresh fruit.
At Remala 5* (Sunrise chain), breakfast always includes smoked salmon without having to ask. Eggs Benedict are available, along with fresh-squeezed orange juice. Seafood is served daily — shrimp, mussels, squid, and at least 2 types of fish. Jams come in small glass jars, cloth napkins on every table.
The outdoor grill at Remala 5* is limited and barely changes: lamb ribs, kebab, and braised chicken wings. Pizza is also made outdoors. Overall food variety is roughly 2–3 times less than at Montmare hotel.
On Thursdays and Sundays, Sunrise hotels run a carnival at Tal Avenue. Thursday is low-key with just one complimentary drink. Sunday features a better show, unlimited snacks from various cuisines, and open bar.
