What is the service quality and food like at Belek hotels in Turkey?

TL;DR

Staff at Belek hotels are generally responsive and helpful, but food quality and post-renovation room conditions can disappoint. Prices are often considered overpriced for what you get.

After complaints about cleaning, the housekeeper was replaced and the room was put under manager supervision — after that cleaning became thorough, including the balcony. All issues were resolved almost instantly via WhatsApp with the guest manager. Guests left housekeepers around $2 tips.

At check-in, 9 rooms had to be inspected after a so-called renovation — quality was very poor. Staff seemed understaffed. Food was standard Turkish fare, with some dishes spoiled or clearly left over from the previous day, despite the head chef being present at every meal.

Positives included spacious rooms, excellent staff, thorough cleaning, and varied tasty food. A broken air conditioner was fixed almost immediately. Staff helped locate a dental aligner wrapped in a napkin among piles of used dishes — which amazed guests. Downside: no fish or seafood was ever served despite the hotel's nautical theme. Price for 6 nights for 2 adults and a child was around 456,000 RUB in September — considered overpriced by guests.
