Which bays in Bodrum have the warmest sea water for swimming?

The bay near Selectum Collection Bodrum hotel is notably colder than others — about 5 degrees cooler than the bays of Bodrum and Yalıkavak. Hotel lifeguards and staff say the water there is always this cold.

In Yalıçiftlik the water is noticeably warmer in the early morning than in the afternoon — likely because the sun-warmed surface layer hasn't yet mixed with the colder water below.

In late June the surface water feels warm, but a cold current is noticeable at depth. A light breeze makes getting out of the water feel chilly — especially for those who prefer very warm seas.

Water temperature varies significantly by bay. The most comfortable spots for swimming are Güvercinlik, Türkbükü, and Gündoğan. Yalıçiftlik is consistently cold, Bitez is even colder, and Turgutreis tends to be too windy. Mazı is pleasant but only when the wind direction is favorable.
