Are mosquitoes a problem in Turkey in the evenings?

A guest doesn't recall mosquitoes at the Rama hotel, but always packs a repellent just in case — it has never actually been needed.

During a June trip, not a single mosquito was seen, and flies weren't bothersome either.

Over a 5-day stay, mosquitoes were very rare: only one was seen in the room, and another one bothered them at the beach.

In one report covering a 10-day stay, there were no mosquitoes at all; only small gnats were occasionally noticed outdoors.

Another recent report says no mosquitoes were seen at all before 10 pm, so at least during the earlier evening hours they were not an issue.

Mosquitoes were present every single one of the 12 evenings of the stay.
