Are sun loungers hard to find at Bellis Hotel beach and pool in Turkey?

Based on 1 discussion with 3 participants · Last activity: 3 days ago

TL;DR

At Bellis Hotel, beach loungers fill up by around 10am — arrive before 8:30am to get a spot. Poolside loungers are generally more available throughout the day.

The hotel's old beach is now closed for sunbathing — small barriers mark turtle egg nesting sites, there are no lifeguards, and swimming is at your own risk. All loungers have been moved to a small beach across a footbridge. Arriving there around 10am, spots were available starting from the 4th row from the water (the first 4 rows near the sea were already taken). The new beach has a rocky, uncomfortable entry into the sea with gaps between rocks. Many guests now sunbathe by the water park pool instead, but still swim at the old beach since it has a smoother pebble-and-sand entry into the water.

Cushioned lounger pads are now only available at the main pool and the deluxe rooms' pool area. All beach loungers are bare, without padding.

There are always enough loungers on the beach — around 12 rows in total. The last two rows furthest from the water are almost never taken. The later you arrive, the further from the waterline your spot will be, but you won't go without a lounger.

The beach varies by zone: the left side (prime spots near the water) fills up before 8am, while the right side near the water sports equipment remains free even at 11am. Note that sea urchins have been spotted among the rocks at the far end of the right section.

Arrived at the beach around 10am and easily found loungers right at the water's edge. The next day, also had no trouble finding spots near the pool by the water park.

On one occasion, arriving at the beach around 10am meant no spots were left. Returning to the hotel pool, there were plenty of free loungers. Over a week's stay, shortages were generally not an issue at either the beach or pool.

At 8:30am, the beach had plenty of free loungers. The pool area also had lots of availability at that time. Coming early is the safest way to secure a beachfront spot.
