Are Turkish all-inclusive hotels clean — cockroaches, beach maintenance, and hygiene standards?

A recent guest confirmed no cockroaches despite negative online reviews. All areas — restaurants, bars, beach, pools, toilets — are cleaned continuously. Sunbeds and tables are wiped with cleaning solution every morning, and the pier stairs are scrubbed in the sea. Guests noted this level of maintenance is unusually thorough.

The hotel grounds are clean and well-maintained. However, smoking is permitted everywhere outdoors — by the pool, on the restaurant terrace, at the beach, and on room balconies. Finding fresh air within the resort is nearly impossible. Non-smokers should factor this in when choosing a hotel in Turkey.

The beach is wide but severely lacks shade — covered spots are scarce and the hotel is very large. Guests arriving after 8am risk finding no shaded sunbeds at all. To secure a good spot, you need to be on the beach by 6:00–6:15am. The upside: at that hour the water is crystal clear and calm.

A significant environmental issue: in the afternoons the sea near the shore often contains microplastics, and on some days waves bring in visible garbage — bags, bottles, packaging — turning the water murky. This is not the hotel's fault but seriously affects the swimming experience. Similar litter problems are visible in Kemer town itself.
