How bad is smoking in Turkish all-inclusive hotels?

Barut Hemera hotel left a much warmer impression than nearby alternatives in the same price range — slightly more expensive, but with a genuine atmosphere.

At White City Resort 5* (Türkler, Avsallar), smoking is everywhere. In the evenings, the outdoor bar area is practically inaccessible due to heavy cigarette smoke — a serious problem for non-smokers.

German guests at White City Resort are generally neutral — mostly couples 55+, no major incidents. Reception staff are friendly and speak basic Russian. Positives include good food, quiet atmosphere, and an uncrowded sea beach (most guests prefer the pool).

A large proportion of European guests does not guarantee a better holiday experience. Unrestricted smoking everywhere, loud groups, and specific beach culture are common realities at European-oriented Turkish resorts.
