Where to book a boat/yacht excursion on the Turkish coast and how much does it cost?

Many excursion boats line up at the harbor pier to choose from. Best to arrive around 8:00-8:30am, an hour before departure, or around 5pm when boats return, to book a spot for the next day.

The "Mega Star" yacht trip booked through a private organizer got great reviews - captain and crew were excellent. However, a combo rafting + Tazy canyon tour disappointed: wetsuit and water shoes cost extra ($5 each, $8 total), river water was only 9°C, and the advertised zipline turned out to be a short, low attraction on the base grounds.

A boat trip offered right on the beach: 3 hours, 3 swimming stops of 40 minutes each, water and watermelon included. Cost is $25 per person.

The Aegean Islands boat excursion is the most popular option - tourists are picked up right at the hotel pier. Through a tour agency there's a large boat (100+ people) or smaller one (20+ people); buying the package (islands + city + foam party) costs the same as booking dockside. A private guided day trip to Akyaka and Dalyan was a highlight - door-to-door hotel pickup by car. A local minibus to town costs 130 lira for a 7-year-old one way, though schedules can run 25+ minutes late.

For a one-off boat excursion, it's easiest to walk up to the pier where boats often dock directly. Earlier the price for such a trip was around 60 (in the seller's local currency).

A private yacht for a group can be chartered directly from the owner: €400 for 6 hours. Worth confirming dates and capacity in advance for your group size (e.g. 8 people / 2 families).
