TL;DR
Seafood is limited at Turkish all-inclusive resorts: fish (often sea bass-style) tends to show up about once a week, and shrimp mainly appears on themed a-la-carte seafood nights rather than the daily buffet.
The buffet had no avocado or seafood most of the trip, but one evening guests were eating shrimp — easier to grab something else than hunt for it.
During a week-long stay there were 2 themed a-la-carte dinners (seafood and Turkish), while the other 6 buffet dinners were nearly identical; shrimp never showed up.
Lamb wasn't served at all in a week — mostly beef cutlets, kebab, chicken wings, grilled chicken pieces and turkey; the fish looked like sea bass, with red fish appearing once.
Other travelers in the group confirmed the same pattern — no seafood like shrimp or crayfish appeared on the table during their entire stay.
Guests who returned two days earlier said the hotel does cook fish, but it hadn't appeared for a whole week before finally showing up on Saturday.
On arrival at the hotel on a Friday, there was neither salmon nor shrimp on the buffet — guests hoped it was a one-off shortage rather than the norm.
