TL;DR
Beach sunbeds in Side fill up early: the front row is often gone by 7:00–7:30, and from 9:00 to 11:00 there may be nothing left near the water. If you arrive around 8:00, you may still find spots in the second or third row.
According to the latest report, the first row of sunbeds was already fully taken by 7:30. At that time, you can usually only expect to find spots in the second row.
At the beach section near the stairs and lawn in Side, there were no spots left near the sea between 9:00 and 11:00. The area has become much more crowded, including the section by the lifeguard.
Another traveler also confirmed that you should not expect an empty beach later in the morning: by mid-morning, sunbeds are already effectively gone and availability remains difficult.
At around 8:00, it was still possible to find a few sunbeds in the second row near the lifeguard, while the third row was mostly still available.
If you specifically want the front row by the water, even 7:00 may be too late: one report said the first row was already taken by then, and only the third row was still available.
