What time is hotel check-in in Marmaris during peak season?

In peak season, severe overbooking can occur: a room may remain unavailable for more than 24 hours after arrival. Guests wait for a resolution from the hotel/tour operator with luggage still packed, spending the day by the pool until check-in is possible — you're placed as soon as a room frees up.

For trips in late August/September, hotels are often fully booked out ("on stop"), increasing the risk of delayed check-in due to lack of available rooms.

At checkout, the hotel allowed a free one-hour late departure. Paid room extension for 4 hours was not possible due to full occupancy. Luggage was accepted into a storage room with a claim tag, allowing guests to continue using the hotel grounds and have lunch.

Villas are the furthest accommodation from the sea. Budget room categories can still get decent placement — for example, near the elevators on the 3rd floor — but the exact room assignment is largely luck of the draw. Based on a mid-September stay.

October is technically off-season, but hotels are often fully booked. Check-in happens at around 2 PM — no earlier, no later. Extending your stay on checkout day is not possible when the hotel is at full capacity.

During peak season, early check-in is nearly impossible — the reception area is packed with luggage from waiting guests until 2–3 PM. Early check-in may be arranged for an extra fee. Outside of peak season, hotels are more likely to accommodate early arrivals.
