Do I need to fill out Vietnam's new online arrival declaration before flying to Da Nang, and when does it start?

Travelers who flew in after June 20 are still checking with each other whether the new rule applies to them — there's no clear single announcement from airlines, everyone is going by the June 22 cutoff date.

The effective date for the electronic declaration was changed more than once: it was first announced for July 1, but ended up being moved earlier, to June 22, 2026.

If you arrived in Da Nang before June 22, 2026, you don't need to file the electronic declaration — the rule only applies to arrivals from that date onward.
