TL;DR
Go early (5–11am) or after 3pm. Midday sun is intense enough to burn even under an umbrella. Evenings get busy as the heat drops.
A practical approach is to head to the beach around 6am, swim for a couple of hours before the heat builds, then have breakfast and drop things back at the hotel. This lets you enjoy the water while avoiding peak sun.
Locals arrive at the beach as early as 5am, and by 5:30am most sun loungers are taken. The best window for swimming is 5–11am. After that, head back and return no earlier than 3pm — the midday sun is strong enough to burn even under an umbrella. Sunset is at 6pm year-round.
In the evenings when the heat eases, the beach gets noticeably crowded. In the mornings until around 11am it's much quieter and comfortable for swimming.
Towels are provided at I Resort. During the hottest part of the day (roughly 11am–3pm), it's best to avoid prolonged sun exposure — the risk of sunburn and overheating is significant.
