TL;DR
Tour passengers look for the Pegas/Alex sign at the airport and get assigned a bus number. Local minibuses stop near Art Nest hotel — wave your hand to flag them down.
If you take the regular public bus from the airport, it will only drop you at a city stop near your hotel area; it does not provide door-to-door hotel drop-off.
Bus #18 runs from the city centre to the airport. From the south, near the Vinpearl terminal pier, bus #16-2 goes to the airport. Detailed routes and stops are available in a dedicated community chat.
Bus tickets can be bought from local travel agents on the spot at the same price as at the ticket office, with the added bonus of a free bus transfer (show your QR code).
Local minibuses stop opposite Art Nest hotel, marked by a sign on a pole. A nearby landmark is the Galina cafe. You must wave your hand to flag the minibus down — it won't stop automatically.
Sleeper bus tickets are available at the main bus station. When buying, confirm whether pickup is from your hotel or if you need to go to the station yourself — this varies by operator.
Arriving on a package tour (e.g. Pegas): find the tour operator desk or sign at the airport, show your voucher, and you'll be given a bus number. Head outside and find your bus among 20–30 waiting coaches. A guide at each bus will escort passengers to their hotels.
