Is Nha Trang night market worth visiting — prices and what's sold there?

Crocs (not necessarily original) are sold at and around the night market. Prices start at around 120,000 VND, bargaining is possible. At Cho Dam market they were bought for 60,000 VND in October.

Suitcases at the market: starting prices are heavily inflated for negotiation, but persistent bargaining can bring them down to 280,000 VND. A fair price is considered 250–280,000 VND. Vendors are reportedly less willing to bargain than last year, citing high tourist traffic.

The Gustavo Ganno store in Nha Trang offers clothing at acceptable quality and prices — a market alternative for those who prefer not to bargain.

Quality linen clothing (trousers, shorts) is available in several Nha Trang shops for around 3,000–4,000 RUB per item with bargaining. Good linen is also sold at the mall inside the Hyatt hotel (Tagins store, ground floor) — not cheap, but high quality.

The farther Lotte Mart is worth visiting: good prices on groceries, alcohol, fish, sushi, pizza, and occasional cosmetics promotions. Reportedly cheaper than other supermarkets overall. Not worth a special trip for a single item, but worthwhile if you're nearby.

Cho Dam is a large covered market but can be dirty, smelly, and staffed by unfriendly vendors. Prices are roughly the same as on the streets — bargaining is essential. The selection is slightly less tourist-oriented and everything is in one place, but it can be stressful in the heat.

Across the road from the night market is a shop called King Kong, selling shirts, souvenirs, swimwear, and various small items at reasonable fixed prices (no bargaining). Open until 11 PM.

Prices in Nha Trang are often set arbitrarily based on the buyer's appearance — this applies not just at markets but in regular shops and cafes too. The same item or dish can be priced several times higher for tourists than for locals.

Shopping malls in Nha Trang currently have sales where you can find discounted clothing and shoes. There are no outlet stores in the city, but mall promotions offer reduced prices.

Electronics in Nha Trang cost roughly the same as in Russia, sometimes more. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is sold everywhere for around 42 million VND (~$1,650), with almost no discounts available in stores. Also worth checking in advance whether Vietnamese phone models support your home country's network bands.

The night market sells sweets, dried fruits, bags, and clothing, but nothing particularly impressive. It gets extremely crowded. Prices are inflated — mangosteens go for 110k VND/kg at the market, while just 20 meters away you can buy them for 80k VND/kg.

Clothing is available at the night market but prices are higher due to the tourist location. Better options can be found along the 3rd line (third street back from the beach), where cafes, restaurants, and shops offer more reasonable prices.
