AC not working or no bathrobes/slippers in Egyptian hotel room — what to do?

In some hotel buildings (not the fun-san category), bathrobes and beach bags aren't left in the room by default — ask at reception and they'll bring them.

If the AC blows air but doesn't actually cool the room, that's not normal — call reception or guest relations right away, ideally during the day while admin staff is on duty, not in the evening.

If after a repair the AC still isn't cooling within 10-15 minutes on max setting, insist on being moved to another room — in one case the switch only happened the next day.

Bathrobes aren't always in the room by default, but reception can bring them on request; slippers are also given only if you ask.
