Best spots for swimming in Makadi Bay Egypt — where is it calm and sheltered from wind?

During strong waves, swimming is only allowed in the left part of the bay. Wind typically dies down in the afternoon, so swimming is more comfortable later in the day.

The area near the Barcelo hotel is also considered a relatively calm spot for swimming in the bay.

The bay generally has great water, but wind can be strong. On windy days, Ali Baba beach tends to be calmer than Aladdin beach — worth choosing when conditions are rough.

Near the left edge of the bay by the Jaz hotel boundary, there's a good entry point for swimming. The island nearby offers excellent snorkeling. This is the most sheltered part of the bay.

The left side of Makadi Bay is generally more sheltered from wind. From the Xanadu resort area and further right, wind picks up noticeably. For calm swimming, stick to the left side of the bay.
