TL;DR
As of June 2026, renovations are complete and all pools are open. No cockroaches or damaged towels reported by guests. The hotel is at 100% capacity, causing occasional delays in clearing dishes at restaurants.
As of mid-July 2026, the pool renovation in the center of the hotel is still ongoing and appears long-term. In building 2, one room facing the inner courtyard/garden is under renovation. Building 6 appears to be fully under renovation — no lights were on in any room in the evening.
Renovation work is currently ongoing at the hotel: the pool near reception is being repaired, some rooms have tile and drilling work underway, and TVs are being replaced. Noise from the works is noticeable but reportedly does not significantly disrupt the stay overall.
The third hotel in the complex, 'Stella Laguna', intended for VIP guests, had not yet opened as of late June 2026 — its opening status remains unclear.
Commonly cited drawbacks include: dated rooms with worn furniture and plumbing, complaints about cleaning quality and dirty dishes, repetitive food rated average or below, restaurant queues at peak hours, paid and unreliable Wi-Fi (mainly in the lobby), slow check-in and inconsistent reception service, and pushy beach excursion vendors. Positives frequently mentioned include a good beach, beautiful sea, and convenient location.
The hotel is currently at full 100% capacity. Restaurant staff sometimes struggle to clear tables promptly due to the high occupancy, though the food quality itself is generally acceptable.
Renovations on the hotel grounds have been completed. All pools are now open and available to guests.
Room towels are in good condition with no holes reported. No incidents of missing beach towels were noted by guests.
No cockroaches were spotted in the rooms. A guest staying in a Suite category room reported no pest issues whatsoever.
Travelers choosing this hotel for reef snorkeling and a relaxed beach holiday should check current food quality, the ratio of local vs. international guests, and whether any renovations are ongoing before booking.
