TL;DR
Paradise Reef hotel's house reef gets the most praise — calmer water, interesting 'maze' relief, frequent eagle rays and napoleon fish. Royal Albatros Beach reef disappoints, and Pickalbatros Pellas has strong currents and a steep wall.
Comparing Baron Palace and Sentido Sensatori reefs to Paradise Reef: Paradise Reef has calmer water and more interesting 'maze-like' relief. Baron's reef resembles Paradise Reef but without the mazes. Sensatori has more coral-covered rocks giving brighter color, but water is murky everywhere with current.
The reef at Pickalbatros Pellas disappointed: steep wall and stronger current than at neighboring hotels. Its only advantage is the bay's proximity to Remal, Baron and Sensatori. A manta ray and turtle were spotted here though — they now cruise the whole bay.
Liked Albatros in Hurghada, also visited Aqua Park Hurghada. This time chose Dana Beach hotel — it suited all criteria.
Sea Beach in Sharm is also great, but has no direct sea access (pool only), so ended up choosing Dana Beach instead. Also recommended checking out Desert Rose and Xanadu Makadi resorts.
The reef at Paradise Reef hotel is clearly better than at Royal Oasis Beach — expectations from reviews were high but the reef there disappointed. At Paradise Reef, eagle rays and napoleon fish were spotted several times, stingrays constantly, while at Royal Oasis Beach a stingray was seen only once and no eagle rays or napoleon fish at all.
Subjective take: at Paradise Reef, fish (rays, napoleon, eagle rays) swim by periodically without needing to search for them — the reef there is better than at Royal Oasis Beach.
