What can you do if your Hurghada hotel room isn’t what you expected — no balcony, wrong beds, or a connecting door?

TL;DR
In Hurghada resorts, these issues are often handled at reception, and a room change may be possible the next day if a suitable one opens up. However, getting everything at once — a balcony, twin beds, and no connecting door — may require waiting and checking several available rooms.
If you’re assigned a room without a balcony, it’s worth going straight to reception: in one reported case, two parties were moved the next day around 12:00 and both received neighboring rooms with balconies instead of the original rooms in two-story bungalows.
Even with a higher room category, not all requests are fulfilled immediately. Guests with club access asked for a direct view, two separate beds, and no connecting door, but a matching room only became available on the second day.
It helps to ask staff to show available rooms before agreeing to a move. In one case, guests were driven around the property and shown different options because combining all preferences in one room was difficult.
If the room is missing enough supplies for all guests, don’t assume the issue will be fixed after one request. In one report, three guests were placed in a room set up for two, and after asking, staff brought only one extra towel.
Building quality can vary a lot, so if the room is poor, ask right away whether you can move to another block. One negative review specifically mentioned very poor room conditions in Building 2.
