What is the beach and infrastructure like in Sahl Hasheesh — is it worth visiting?

Based on 1 discussion with 3 participants · Last activity: 12 days ago

TL;DR

Sahl Hasheesh is considered one of the best resort areas in the region: good beach, plenty of sunbeds, a pier, a bar, and decent Wi-Fi. Arrive by 10:00 AM to get a good spot.

What the community said

The beach is large, and free sunbeds are usually available even when it gets busy. The most crowded area is around the central pier: if you want that specific section, it’s best to come early, since by about 10:00 AM it is almost full.

There is currently renovation work in the right wing of the main building, which makes getting around less convenient: in the heat, guests may need to take a longer route across the grounds, and the terrace by the seawater pool can get some construction dust. However, the noise is described as manageable, and sunbed availability is not an issue.

The pier is solid and permanent, with water entry from both sides. There are three shallow wading areas on shore — knee to waist deep, ankle-deep at low tide. Wi-Fi in the lobby and rooms is sufficient for messaging, calls, and even streaming football matches with occasional buffering.

The resort area is quiet and compact, with most amenities close by. There is an on-site bar. The main downside is that the sea is not immediately adjacent.

The area is considered one of the best in Sahl Hasheesh. The beach is good and sunbeds are plentiful. Arriving by 10:00 AM still gives you a free spot, though the front row fills up earlier.
