TL;DR
Taxis in Batumi are very cheap — a typical app ride costs around 4-5 GEL (roughly comparable to a 25-min ride costing $1-2), and paid parking runs about 5 GEL/day (e.g. on Angisa street).
Public parking in central Batumi is tight, but you can usually find a free spot within about 5 minutes (requires a paid subscription/permit). Paid lots also exist — one on Angisa street costs 5 GEL per day, though it's a bit far from Orbi Plaza.
For comparison: a 25-minute taxi ride in Rostov-on-Don (Russia) costs almost $10-11, while a similar comfort-class ride in the Batumi app comes out to around 4.7 GEL — meaning you could take that same trip 4-5 times for the same money.
A standard taxi ride in Batumi costs roughly $0.80-1 per person — about the same as a shared minivan/marshrutka fare, not more expensive. Public transport (tram, bus) isn't actually cheaper than taking a taxi.
